 Nov 14th, 2015 in the Kung Fu Saloon Lot off Washington Ave & TC Jester. This year we’ll be doing all 4 person Teams geared towards more intermediate/rx athletes referred to as “sport” and a “Fun” division geared towards beginner-intermediate athletes in our Functional Fitness competition. Each team of 4 must have at least 2 women other than that you can do any combo you want. We’ll have 20 “Sport” teams and 20 “fun” team spaces available. If you did the competition last year the divisions will be similar. Please see last years wods for examples of strength/Scaling.

There will be 3 workouts to test all levels of fitness and one floater.

Registration will be $300 and there will be no refunds, but you will be able to change your team if something happens to one of your team members up until Nov 5th. Wods will be released Nov 11th at 5pm.

Neither Division will have advanced movements like muscle ups.

“SPORT”-  will be designed to test the basic skills of crossfit. One athlete should at LEAST be able to do most of the intermediate movements listed and the movements in the CF Open(thrusters, clean and jerk, snatches, Wallballs, Pullups, double unders etc) . Typical RX athletes are welcome in the Intermediate Division, but please no regional/pro level athletes.  Participants should be familiar with typical standards of olympic lifts, KB swings, box jumps, tire flips, etc as

“Fun” (Beginner) The intention of the individual competition is to give the beginner athletes the opportunity to gain some experience and confidence in the competitive realm. You do not have to be new to competitions, but this is for the athletes that find regular scaled competitions out of reach. If you can regularly do RX weight/movements in daily Wods Please do not sign up for beginners. The Scaled division is a great place to start.  A “Beginner” athlete should be proficient in the following movements; jump rope singles, jumping pull-ups, pushups, ground to overhead (75+/55+), deadlift (165+/95+).  A “Beginner” should NOT have the ability to do butterfly pull-ups, double unders or have the ability to lift the loads listed in the “Intermediate” category. A “Beginner” is newer to the sport or limited in physical abilities.

2014 CLASSIC –
The event will be indoor/outdoor, so please be prepared.

Volunteers/judges will all receive t-shirts and food and I promise they’ll get plenty of breaks! We can’t host an event without your help so if you can volunteer we’d greatly appreciate it!

Standards

This is a beginner/intermediate(scaled) competition. There will be no advanced/technical movements such as pull-ups, snatches, handstand push-ups, etc. There will be 3 WODs and 1 finals Wod for those who make it. No refunds.

Co-ed-   Co-ed division will be designed to test the basic skills of crossfit. One athlete should at LEAST be able to do most of the intermediate movements listed and the movements in the CF Open(thrusters, clean and jerk, snatches, Wallballs, Pullups, double unders etc) . Typical RX athletes are welcome in the Co-ed.  These will be crossfit wods, but a scaling option may be available to assist a more novice teams( at the cost of a set time/rep penalty) to level the playing field. Participants should be familiar with typical standards of olympic lifts, KB swings, box jumps, tire flips, etc as
